Tulsi Gabbard For Congress
by Off The Sidelines | July 12, 2012
Through her Off The Sidelines campaign, Senator Gillibrand is committed to helping women make their voices heard and her endorsement of Tulsi Gabbard for Congress in HI-02 is no exception.
Tulsi is an extraordinary young woman who, at even a young age, has been off the sidelines and engaged in her own community for years. At just 30 years old, Tulsi has already served two tours of duty in the Middle East as a member of the Hawaii National Guard, has served in the Hawaii state legislature, and is currently a Honolulu City Councilwoman. Running to replace Mazie Hirono in Congress, this progressive Democrat is rising in the polls for the August 11th primary through hard work and commitment.
When Kirsten met her last month, she knew she had to do whatever she could to help get Tulsi elected. As Kirsten wrote in an email to her list today:
When I first ran for office, most people wrote me off. Thankfully, not everyone. Some believed in me and I wouldn’t have made it without them.
I believe in paying it forward. I recently met a candidate who represents the best of what it means to get Off the Sidelines, and she needs our help. [...]
I just contributed to Tulsi and I hope you’ll do the same. I’ve set a goal of raising $15,000 for her campaign by Tuesday so she can get her message out in the final four weeks.
Can you help Tulsi win on August 11th by contributing here today?

In a year when we're poised to have a record number of women on the November ballot, let's ensure that one of those women is Tulsi Gabbard.
